CafeServer self-update
CafeServer checks for and installs new versions by itself — no manual download or reinstall.
How the update works
- CafeServer regularly checks for a new version.
- If there is one, it downloads it and verifies the files.
- It swaps in the new version and restarts within seconds. Your installed games and settings stay as they are.
- If anything goes wrong while replacing files, CafeServer rolls back to the previous version so your café keeps running.
Checking the status
On Overview › GCafe status › Software update:
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Up to date | Nothing to do. |
Checking / Downloading new version | CafeServer is updating itself. |
Deferred — … | Postponed for the reason shown; it will retry automatically. |
Check failed | Could not check for a new version (usually network). It will retry. |
The running version is shown at the bottom left of the Console and under Version on Overview.
