License errors
License errors show in the status box at the top of the Console and in the Change license dialog.
Message | Usual cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Wrong CafeId / password | CafeID or CafePwd mistyped. | Check again — watch upper / lower case and spaces. Click Change to re-enter. |
CafeId has no license | No package bought or not activated yet. | Contact your dealer to activate / buy a package. |
Expired | The license is past its end date. | Renew with your dealer, then click Reconnect. |
In use on another device | The CafeID is running on another server. | Stop CafeServer on that server. If you just moved servers, wait a while and try again; contact your dealer if urgent. |
License bound to another server | The license is tied to a different server. | Contact your dealer to move it to this server. |
License locked | The license has been suspended. | Contact your dealer. |
License data error / Too many attempts — temporarily locked | A temporary system problem, or several wrong license changes. | Wait a while and try again with the correct details; if it persists, contact your dealer. |
Too many PCs | More workstations than the license allows. | Remove unused PCs on the Workstations page or raise the licensed PC count. |
Central has not answered after 45 seconds | Slow or lost Internet connection. | Check the server's Internet connection, then click Reconnect. |
CafeID / CafePwd not entered | The license was skipped during setup. | Click Change to enter it, or Register new. |
💡 Tip: If a license change fails, CafeServer keeps running on the old license — your café is not interrupted while you check.
