Quick answers to common CafeServer questions: running in the background, starting with Windows, passwords, moving to a new server and using the Console from a phone.

Does CafeServer stop if I close the Console?

No. CafeServer runs in the background as a Windows service. The Console is only a screen to watch and control it.

Do I need to start CafeServer after rebooting the server?

No. CafeServer starts with Windows.

Does restarting CafeServer remove games from workstations?

No. Games already on the server stay as they are. Only downloading stops for the few seconds CafeServer takes to restart.

What is the difference between the web password and CafePwd?

CafePwd goes with the CafeID to verify the license. The web password signs you in to the Console. They are independent.

How do I move CafeServer to a new server?

  1. Stop CafeServer on the old server.
  2. Install CafeServer on the new server with the same CafeID / CafePwd.
  3. Copy the game folders to the new server's drives (optional), then use Scan packages to avoid downloading them again.

If it says "In use on another device", wait a while and click Reconnect, or contact your dealer.

Can I use the Console from my phone?

Yes. On the café's Wi-Fi / LAN, open a browser to the server's address. The Console switches to a phone layout with the menu at the bottom; the remaining items are under More.

Where do I change the theme or language?

Bottom left of the Console: the Light / Dark / System box and the Tiếng Việt / English box.
